After a 16-year career, the Brooklyn Nets selected University of Louisville point guard Mikel Brown Jr. to bolster their scoring position. The Nets secured the sixth pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Statistics show Brown averaged 18.2 points, 4.7 assists, and 3.3 rebounds per game during his freshman season at the University of Louisville.
Brown is expected to play Point Guard, forming a starting five alongside Nets star Michael Porter Jr., Russian forward Egor Denim, and recently traded Timberwolves player Julius Randle. This will further strengthen coach Jodi Fernandez's offensive and strategic options, as he has struggled to find a sharp, agile, and scoring point guard.
